DESCRIPTION:J Day Camps proudly runs ACA-accredited day camp at two locations: Camp Essman at the J – St. Louis’s Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield (available to grades K-6) and Camp Baer at J – St. Louis’s Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur (available to grades K-7). At both camp locations\, campers enjoy full days of movement\, creativity\, and hands‑on exploration. They jump into outdoor activities like soccer\, flag football\, sack races\, capture the flag\, Ultimate Frisbee\, and obstacle courses! \nCampers cool off with most days by swimming in our outdoor pools\, featuring big‑splash water slides\, an aquatic climbing wall\, and our signature tree swing. They can enjoy free swim and can boost their skills through fun\, confidence‑building lessons led by certified instructors. And with indoor and outdoor pools at both locations\, there’s no time lost on bus rides. \nIndoors\, campers explore arts and crafts\, skits and dance\, science projects\, and cooking. Depending on age and location\, they may also climb the rock wall\, use racquetball courts\, play in full‑size gyms\, or join weekly Shabbat celebrations. With choices spanning sports\, arts\, science\, cooking\, and more\, campers build friendships\, discover new skills\, and enjoy a classic J Day Camps summer.

SUMMARY:Camp Koplar
DESCRIPTION:Camp Katan (Chesterfield) and Camp Koplar (Creve Coeur) are early childhood camps designed especially for our youngest campers. Each day is filled with music\, storytelling\, art\, swimming (including both swim lessons and free swim)\, sports\, nature activities\, and more. Guided by early childhood educators\, all activities are developmentally appropriate and tailored to campers ages 3 to 5 (pre-K). Campers staying for the afternoon enjoy a rest period. All participants must be fully toilet-trained (potty mastery) and at least 3 years old by the start of camp. Both camps are operated by the caring staff and teachers of the J’s Early Childhood Centers. \nFull‑day camp runs from 9am–3pm\, and half‑day camp runs from 9am–12:30pm. Lunch is provided for all full‑day campers! Limited PM Care options are now available at Camp Koplar/Creve Coeur! AM Care is not currently available for Camps Katan and Koplar.

SUMMARY:Youth Theatre Summer Theatre
DESCRIPTION:A Two-Week Exploration of Musical Theatre with J Youth Theatre \nJune 15-26\, 2026: Heroes & Villains (Grades 2-6) \nPrepare to face off in a two-week grand battle of musical theatre masterpieces as you step into the world of the great Broadway heroes and villains! We will sing\, dance\, and swim our way through the Pride Lands of Simba and Scar\, to the Emerald City with Dorothy and the Wicked Witch\, visit the castle of the Beast with Gaston\, and swim under the sea with Ariel and Ursula. \nEach morning\, campers will focus on building skills in the areas of singing\, acting\, and dancing. After lunch\, they will dive into show materials where they will explore a variety of characters and musical styles carefully chosen by our professional performing arts educators. The campers’ work will culminate in a showcase presentation on the last day of camp\, when they will perform for friends and family. \nThis camp is offered for one two-week session only\, and space is limited. Need childcare in the hours before and after camp? J Day Camps AM Care and PM care is open to Youth Theatre Summer Experience participants. You can also have us take care of lunch!
